Lake Ontario, new pike heaven!

This January a new fishing lake opens near Zagreb. Lake Ontario has been closed to fishing in the last few years; we all knew that big pike were swimming there, but no one was able to predict what would happen at the start of the season. ŠRU Piskor is managing this lake, and they decided to promote it as a "Catch and Release" water. We all support this decision, which will turn this lake into a pike heaven. In just 2 days, more than 30 pike were caught and released, some really big, up to 8.5 kg. All beautiful fish, really fat and in good condition. Today, my friends and I were also there. It was a cool winter ambient, and we expected that we would have not many bites, but each one could bring a big pike. This was right! I had one of 4kg, and later Dalien had one much bigger, around 7 kg. Lake Ontario completely fulfills our expectations, and it is obvious that an interesting pike season is ahead for pike fishing fanatics in Zagreb.
