Gorski Kotar is mountain area in Croatia, close to the seacoast and Rijeka town. On your way home back from the sea, you can turn off the highway and set foot into a complete different, summer pleasant climate. Woods, mountains, clean and fresh air, beautiful nature and really good domestic food should be a reasons for visiting. There are a few big lakes hidden in the woods, like Fuzine, Lepenica or Lokve. Of course there is a river Kupa with its tributary Kupica also, and if you search history of this blog you will see a lot of fly fishing photos from these rivers.
