The new fly fishing trout season begins on the 1st of March here in Croatia. You can try your luck on some other rivers in Croatia and the surrounding area, but we recommend you Vitunjcica and Gacka rivers. Both are very cold, and water level can be very high during this period, but I believe that after the long winter period the heart of real fly fisherman will be happy by the fact that once again we can even try to catch and release our beloved trout, no matter how successful will be in the first days of the new fly fishing season.
