Barbel is a true predator fish! Among other natural baits it will attack small fish, so it can be caught with wide range of different lures and flies. Barbel will take metal spoons, vobler lures, silicon lures on heavy jigs, but also some fly jigs, streamers and nymphs. Big barbel is a strong fighter and will give you unforgettable fight especially on the tiny fly rod , so be gentle to these beautiful fish and release them back to the rivers.
